In December at CoINVEST, there is an increased volume of Long Service Leave claims from our members who would like to take their well-earned break over the Christmas holiday period.

The average turnaround time for claims lodged in December is just under 3 business days (which is inclusive of automated claims) and around 5 business days for manually processed claims. To give yourself the best chance of having your claim benefit paid to you before the Christmas break, it is vital to ensure you have completed your application correctly. Make sure to have the following information ready for when you submit your application:

  • Your tax file number
  • Your preference on claiming the ‘Tax free threshold’ in your payment*
  • Your BSB and account details into which your claim payment can be deposited
  • Recent pay slips – in case you are or not eligible for or choose not to proceed with the automated claim process

CoINVEST will be closed from Friday 23 December and will reopen on Tuesday 3 January. The last claim benefit payment run for 2022 will occur on Tuesday 22 December 2022, while the first claim benefit payment run of 2023 will occur on Thursday 5 January 2023.

Our focus is to have all claim benefits with a leave start date of 1 January 2023 to be paid to members in the week commencing 19 December 2022. If this is not achievable for your claim, an SMS notification will be sent in the week commencing 19 December 2022 to advise that your claim will not be paid before Christmas.
