Authorised Contacts

It is important for CoINVEST to know who has permission to transact and make enquiries on your behalf when it comes to your long service leave and entitlement.

As a Worker you can give authority to another person(s) to speak with CoINVEST on your behalf. There are two types of permissions you can give:

  • Authorised Contacts
  • Power of Attorney

What is an Authorised Contact?

An Authorised Contact is a person or organisation that you authorise to speak with CoINVEST on your behalf.

An Authorised Contact will have limited access to your account. This means they can make enquiries about your account and service record. However, they cannot update or change any details on your account – this can only be performed by you as the member.

What is a Power of Attorney?

A Power of Attorney (POA) is a person that you have provided written authorisation to represent or act on your behalf in business and/or legal matters.

In Victoria a POA is referred to as an Enduring Power of Attorney.

A POA will have full access to your account. This means they can:

  • Update your account details.
  • Submit claims.
  • Enquire about your long service leave entitlement.

You will need to provide a copy of the written authorisation when updating a POA to your account.

How do I add a Contact?

To add a contact to your account you will need to complete the Authorised Contact Request Form with the following information:

  • Your CoINVEST registration number.
  • Personal details (Name, Date of Birth).
